About Cookie Clicker
Cookie Clicker starts with one big cookie and grows into an automated bakery. Spend your cookies on producers such as cursors and grandmas, then buy upgrades to increase production. Watch cookies per second (CpS) to see how quickly your bakery is growing.
Use the mouse to click and shop. A larger screen makes the store and upgrade descriptions easier to compare.

How to play Cookie Clicker
- Click the big cookie until you can afford your first cursor.
- Buy a producer and watch your CpS increase while you continue clicking.
- Compare the next building with available upgrades before spending your cookies.
Tips for your first session
- Compare the production gained for the price instead of always buying the newest building.
- Check the store’s quantity setting if a familiar building suddenly seems too expensive.
- Export a save after a good session so a browser reset does not wipe out your bakery.

How do I save or back up Cookie Clicker?
Open Options. This edition offers Save, Export save, and Save to file. Keep an exported copy outside the browser; use Import save or Load from file when you need to restore a compatible backup.
Why is my progress missing on another browser?
A browser save does not automatically move to another browser, device, or hosting site. Return to the original browser and export your save if it is still there.
Why does an online guide show different features?
The embedded edition currently displays v2.021 beta. Guides for newer releases can show different upgrades or menus. Follow the options available in this player.
